Dordogne Valley

DSC04399The Dordogne is located about 4 1/2 hours drive from Provence, and about 2 hours northeast of Bordeaux.  It is the central area where the 100 years war took place between 1337 -1453.  The above picture is of Castelnaud which lies along the Dordogne River.  Below are pictures of Castelnaud, La Roche-Gageac, Beynac, Sarlat la Caneda and Le Charms des Carlucet Bed and Breakfast Inn.  The Le Charms des Carlucet is about 30 minutes out of Sarlat.  Great place to stay.  Good bar and eatery across the road called the Black Duck.  You can find them on the Trip Advisor link on the link page.
